New: Induction vacuum casting furnace for shells & sand moulds

Auf der Internationalen Schmuckmesse SYDNEY JAA wurde die VPC040 von AJS Australian Jewellers Suppliers erstmals in Australien präsentiert.

The very solution for shell mould precision castings and sand mould castings of complex structures and sophisticated alloys. The melting and casting system for metals from super alloys, high temperature steels and copper based alloys to aluminium.

The IVC – models from Schultheiss are focusing on the precision casting industry as well as to the sand casters. Nowadays, thin wall thicknesses have to be achieved to reduce weight. In order to assure excellent casts, gas porosity must be avoided. Special alloys such as nickel-based super alloys or stainless steel require enhanced casting technology and know-how.

With the IVC – models from 9 up to 200 kg of steel, stainless steel or nickel-based alloys can be cast within cycle times of less than 15min.

Melting under vacuum and/or inert gas atmosphere avoids interference between highly reactive alloys and the surroundings. Applying the metal degassing function assures highest quality and purity of the metal. The reproducibility of casting results is guaranteed by automatic controls.

Optional extensions are: shell mould heating system, block mould module and High Vacuum System. Due to the optional use of a pyrometer the maximal temperature can be raised up to 2.000 °C.

Schultheiss has more than 30 years of casting experience with hundreds of casting machines supplied to various industries. Therefore, Schultheiss is synonymous with outstanding quality, proven systems and easy to handle technology.
The Schultheiss application expertise, assistance and training complete the benefits.
