The development and production of the third generation of jewelry casting machines demonstrate the experience of Schultheiss GmbH. The first vacuum casting machine for the jewelry industry was built by Alfons Schultheiss at Inresa Schultheiss GmbH already in 1968.
Later, in 1988, Georg Schultheiss developed the vacuum pressure casting technology (VPC). By additional applying pressure to the pouring process, there are two forces (vacuum and pressure) adding up to press, the liquid gold or silver into the flask. Perfect filling, smooth surfaces, and most filigree results could be achieved with this improvement. We are proud to say that today’s international standard for jewelry casting is using the Schultheiss development of vacuum pressure casting.
